UK Spouse Visa Application Requirements
To qualify for a UK Spouse visa you will need to meet the following requirements:
Your partner is British or holds Indefinite Leave to Remain;
You are both over the age of 18;
You have met in person and are legally married;
Your relationship is genuine and subsisting;
Any previous relationships have broken down permanently;
You both intend to live in the UK permanently
You will be adequately maintained and accommodated in the UK without recourse to public funds.
You will need to demonstrate that your Spouse (or both of you jointly if you are in the UK with valid leave to remain) has a gross annual income of at least:
- additional £3,800 for the first child; and
- additional £2,400 for each additional child
Adequate accommodation: You must provide evidence that there will be adequate accommodation, without recourse to public funds, for the family, including other family members who are not included in the application but who live in the same household.
English language requirement:
You speak and understand English to the required level

UK Spouse Visa
The UK Spouse visa category is for spouses or civil partners of a person who is present and settled in the UK, i.e. someone who has either indefinite leave to remain or British citizenship, who wish to join, or stay with their other half in the UK.
You can also apply for a UK Spouse visa if your Spouse is outside the UK and intending to return to the UK together with you.
The applicant must already be married when they make the application. This visa is granted for 2,5 years and allows the visa holder to work without restriction.
